what about similiar devices from iaudio,creative,archos etc....those can't get 2% of the attention of the ipod.

gossip sites are a dime a dozen, man. Any person who wants a fucking blog, but doesn't want to talk about themselves, by default, does a gossip-oriented blog*. I mean, if you have an RSS feed to around 15-20 of these blogs, I bet you that roughly 50% of these blogs will, at one point or another, have the same exact headlining post. When you can go on to bloody yahoo.com or gossipist.com to get the latest bullshit in superficial news, why spend time regurgitating it on here? I know that if we concentrate on one certain topic & build an audience that takes interest in that particular topic, we can become more successful, but that would be boring as hell. monotony is evil, god damn it!!!
