I'm with pstroyer on this one. Adriana definitely has more going on in her eyes than Petra. Petra is beautiful though, and I like them both. But Adriana may be the better model overall.

This is like comparing apples and oranges. Two different types of beauty. Adrina looks much better here, but Petra is very versitle, while Adriana has only one look most of the time. Still,Adriana definately wins with these pictures, because all of Petra's are from the same shoot and only a few are good pics. Yea, I see where you're coming from and I agree. Except I don't get your point about Petra being more unique. Petra has a pretty generic look. Of course it's genericness pushed to the upper end of the beauty scale, but she really doesn't have anything unique going for her in my opinion. Adriana's beauty is not nearly as streamlined (e.g. she has fangs), but that's part of what makes her unique and interesting in my opinion. The other part is her ethnicity which is comprised of African, European and Native American heritage.

In a picture like this you can really see her Afro-Brazilian (African) heritage. And that's actually how her hair looks naturally without chemical straigtening:

You also have to consider the fact that Adriana had a relatively succesful career in high fashion. Petra, from what I know, never made it big in high fashion. Her look is just not unique enough. And I really think Adriana is more versatile as well, not only because she has experience within more aspects of modeling, but also because of her mixed ethnicity. It gives her look a lot of range.

But I understand what you mean about apples and oranges. Like I've said before, Petra is more of a classical beauty whereas Adriana is more of an exotic beauty. And Petra is blonde with dark eyes and Adriana is dark-haired with light eyes. So of course it depends on what kind of beauty you prefer (as it always does). I do think Adriana is the superior model though.

hehe, Petra is not the only model doing charity work, running her little foundation and getting rich people to spit money in it. Adriana has spent a small fortune on building orphanages and buying clothes for poor children in Brazil. Alessandra also does a lot of charity work and I think she has her own foundation as well. Hell, even Gisele has done a lot of charity work.

And Petra didn't survive that tsunami because she's superwoman. She survived it because she got lucky. Everyone can cling to a tree and hope for the best. Of course it's nice to be able to say "I survived a tsunami that killed 230,000 other people", but it hardly makes her the better model.
