Bella was directed by Monteverde and was produced by their business partners Sean Wolfington, Eduardo Verastegui, Leo Severino, and Denise Pinckley.[9] Monteverde and the filmmakers received honors for Bella from the Toronto Film Festival, the Smithsonian and the White House.
