Mariah Carey & Nick Cannon @ 2010 Oscars

Unlike some of the other celebrities on the red carpet, Mariah Carey had good reason for being on the red carpet. For those of you who still don't know, the pop music icon played the role of a social worker in "Precious."

Unfortunately, the movie didn't pull through with the best picture award, but did walk away with two other awards: Actress in a Supporting Role went to Mo'Nique & Best Writing (Adapted Screenplay) went to Geoffrey Fletcher. Congrats to both. And, as for Mariah: Maybe next year!

These were snapped last night in Los Angeles.

The Oscars are tomorrow, so all celebrities are feverishly running around L.A. putting the final touches on their outfits, but for those in a select category who're exceptionally beautiful (i.e. Keri Hilson), you don't have to work all that hard. Let's just say Keri can bust out in a random "Made in China" dress from Forever 21 and still manage to get the cameras pointed in her direction.

And, even though she's looking great at this event, I still think it should be illegal for Keri Hilson to wear anything which doesn't show off her legs. OW!!

Beyonce Opens The Beyonce Cosmetology Center in Brooklyn

Mayor Bloomberg & other rich people were on hand to accompany Beyonce & Tina Knowles in the inauguration of the brand new Beyonce Cosmetology Center located at the Phoenix House in Brooklyn.

Her relationship with the nonprofit runs deep as she donated her entire salary from "Cadillac Records" to the drug and alcohol rehabilitation organization. The organization currently operates in ten states, at over 50 locations. Check its website for more info.

The Phoenix House offers programs for residents in carpentry, building maintenance, computer technology and culinary arts.

Beyonce said she thought it also should have more programs geared toward women. She said her mother's Houston salon helped so many people feel good about themselves and better their lives. [Source]

Even though this dress makes Rihanna look like a comic book hero (anybody know which one, by chance?), the fact that it succeeds in accentuating her booty makes it very appealing from a Bastardly standpoint.
