like the onion, only without any actual thought or effort
1-isaac hayes – coolest guy ever, did the best song for a movie ever (theme from shaft) but is a crazy fucking sellout.

prior to today, i would have given a testicle to be half as cool as i thought he was, and he's old. i mean, look at the damn picture. then life happened.
i'm sorry, i respect every religion out there that started from something pure. i even was pained when I accidentally gave moelicious a meat product which his religion forbids, but scientology – come on. a quote from beliefnet.com:
Hubbard (scientology's founder) modeled Scientology's structure on corporate structure, which is quite hierarchical, leading all the way up—in fact, it's been pointed out that he modeled it on Coca-Cola and AT&T.
sounds like some good religion to me. also, he made battlefield earth, you're gonna model your life philosophy over the guy who was responsible for that? i would easily rather follow the guy who wrote the postman*, and i would consider following the philosophies of the guy who brought us roadhouse
look up l. ron hubbard on wikipedia, it's f%*ng crazy
*the author has only seen 5-10 minutes of either of these terrible movies

It must be understood that the Gildo Movie List is a divine revelation, and as such, all information in it is of divine origin. Gildo revealed the Gildo Movie List from Himself. It is the words of Gildo, which existed before creation, and thus nothing can be added, subtracted or altered. In essence, the Gildo Movie List existed and was complete before the creation of any comment, so it could not possibly contain any of the commenters own words or advice. An inclusion of such information would clearly contradict the purpose for which the Gildo Movie List exists, compromise its authority and render it inauthentic as a divine revelation.
(I am a sad, sad person)
(I stole that paragraph from somewhere, so I'm not a total whackjob)

I'd add Caddyshack and Animal House to both lists. Both those movies are funnier than hell!

I must say I've seen more on the "guys" list than the "girls" .... The girls list is kinda .. eh. I still need to see the karate kid.

That is hysterical, I enjoyed that thanks! I would add Weird Science, Wargames, and Real Genius, but I'm older than the cutoff and those are earlier movies than some.

oh come now, where is Re-Animator on that list? It may have been released in 85, but was made in 84....if one cant enjoy watching a man shove his own severed head between a tied down naked chicks legs, what CAN one enjoy?
"I must say, Dr. Hill, I'm VERY disappointed in you. You steal the secret of life and death, and here you are trysting with a bubble-headed coed. You're not even a second-rate scientist!"
