Okay, we have added the links back! But instead of linking to your website, they link to "My Bastardly Account". Same as the little link in the upper right that says "My B". That's your "Bio" page here at The Bastardly.

Once there, if you click the "Edit" tab, you can change your Account Info and your "Additional Info". That last link (Additional Info) is where you can enter your website URL. You can also put a little paragraph about yourself, if you're so inclined.

All of this information will be seen whenever anyone clicks on your name in a post.

about Hendrix, not bad, but not one of the best tho. interesting to listen to for sure, can even say a bit of an innovator, but, i think that he gets overrated alot. the 6 i mentioned plus EVH are a good 7 for a top 10. maybe even put Townshend in there too, while not the BEST, like EVH, i think he (and teh who) were a key piece of the evolution of rock music/guitar. townshend basically took rock, and added lots of shit that shouldnt have been there, IE weird odd chords no one used before, and LOL possibly since, in rock music, and made it work.

thats cool that you know the Rhodes Family. i remember growing up when "Tribute" came out his mom seemed like she was SOOOOOO nice, and that they were close.

it must feel indescribable when you lose a child, ive never gone through that, but it must be even harder when you are so close with them.

Randy seemed like a really nice down to earth kinda guy too. i still remember thinking how awesome randy seemed when i saw a specific picture of him i believe is in Tribute, the one with him and his dog.

EVH may have had a great impact, but, you cant hear acoustic guitars in any type or metal WITHOUT thinking of what Randy started with Dee.

Like SRV, Randy NEVER got the chance to fulfill his potential, and as someone who has tried to play guitar in the past, you cant help but think of the sheer impact he WOULDVE had on modern guitar playing, look at the impact he HAD, i know its never good to say "What If..." but, man, Randy, such a loss to music.

I like the changes so far. It took a little effort to get registered but not having to type in my name and email address every time I want to post is really nice. Also the quicklink categories are a really nice touch. You should definitely keep the anonymous bastard thing because this is the best site out there so if you don't want to take the time to register, who gives a sh*t who u r?

All right, testing. The whole making-people-register thing makes sense from a permission marketing perspective, but I agree with the anonymous user who gets annoyed at all the usernames and passwords. Even if you used the same one for everything, it would get annoying to have to log in everywhere and every time you wanted to just comment. They're called comments because they're supposed to be casual and spontaneous, darn it.

Make the 'input format' choice persistent(!) Ex. right now one has to select 'filtered' each time one posts.

Make the background colors for posts the same they were before (shaded).
In white, it makes it harder to read, and doesn't look as kewl.

And keep the 'anonymous bastard' thing - makes it easy to just not read something not posted by a blue-named member (spam etc).

What happend to the feeds¿?
I always read you by firefox bookmarks but now you dont have any feed.

For the people still having trouble registering, I would suggest that you keep trying. I tried to register on Friday but the email never came. I tried to register again later on Friday but it said my email and username were already taken. I tried registering again on Saturday and the email came pretty much instantaneously without any mention of the username or email (I didn't change either one from the day before) being taken.

speed is good. loads faster.

and the comment things should be on one page, so put it at the max, if its 300, its 300, ive been here a while and i dont think ive seen TOO many threads over 300 posts. there is SOME, but, it looks like the max average is what? around 130-140?
